CDSE (COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION) (FOR MEN ONLY)

1. Men can enter through this mode of entry and will get a Permanent Commission.

   • Age - 20 to 24 years (at the time of commencement of course)
   • Nationality – Indian
   • Marital Status - Single
   • Gender - Men only.
   • Educational Qualifications
   • 
     
     • Graduate (Three Year Course) in any discipline from a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level)/BE/B Tech (Four Year Course).
     • Final Year/semester students are also eligible to apply, provided they produce Degree certificate issued by the University as per the date stipulated in the advertisement.
     • No Percentage Bar for CDSE entry.

AFCAT Eligibility criteria:

  • Minimum of 60% marks each in Maths & Physics at 10+2 level.
  • Graduates (Three Year Course) in any discipline from a recognised University who have attained minimum 60% marks or equivalent OR BE/B Tech (Four Year Course) from a recognised university with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.

Thus you are eligible for both, AFCAT and CDS.

The minimum education qualification required to appear for CDS is that a candidate must have passed bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised board. Candidates who are in final year of the qualifying exam are also eligible.

The eligibility criteria to appear for AFCAT is that a candidate must have passed 3 year bachelor's degree or 4 year B.E/B.Tech with minimum 60% marks from a recognised board and you must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics with minimum 60% marks in each subject from a recognised board. Candidates who are in final year of their graduation are also eligible.

You are eligible to appear for CDS. You haven't mentioned the stream in 10+2 level and your percentage so if you fulfill the above mentioned education requirement you can appear for AFCAT as well.
