Hello,
Yes you can give both JEE mains and JEE Advanced in the same year. Actually you are supposed to give JEE mains and JEE Advanced in the same year. Only if you get the required cut off in the JEE main you can give JEE advanced. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the NTA JEE Mains 2022 exam date at the official website. The JEE Main 2022 registration date will be announced soon on NTA JEE Main website - jeemain.nta.nic.in and nta.nic.in 2022. The authorities are expected to conduct the NTA JEE Main 2022 4 times - March, April, May, and June.
Hi reader ,
Yes you can give jee main and jee advanced in the same year subjected to the fact that you need to qualify jee mains cutoff by securing a certain percentile.
for example in the year 2021 the cutoff percentile of jee advanced was as follows:
Common Rank List (CRL) = 87.8992241 percentile
GEN-EWS = 66.2214845 percentile
Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) = 68.023447 percentile
Scheduled Caste (SC) = 46.8825338 percentile
Scheduled Tribe (ST) = 34.6728999 percentile
PwD = 0.0096 percentile
i hope this helps

Hello Aspirant,
See if you qualify JEE-Main then you have to appear for JEE-Advance in the same year otherwise next year you will have to again first qualify JEE-Main then appear for JEE-Advance. So you have to appear for both the examination in the same year.
Very firstly you have to appear for JEE-Main, qualifying which you will be appearing for JEE-Advance so to appear in JEE-Main you need to satisfy the following eligibility criterion :-
1--- Age criteria :- There is no age limit to appear in JEE-Main but note that there might be the age limit in any particular institution taking admission through JEE-Main score, so you should keep this thing in mind.
2--- Qualifying Examination :- To be eligible for JEE-Main one should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject from any of the recognized central or state board.
3--- Year of qualification :- For JEE-Main 2022 only those candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or 2022; or those who will be appearing in Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2022, would be eligible to appear.
So if you follow all above criterion then you are definitely eligible for JEE-Main.
