Can I give compartment exam if I fail in improvement exam

Absolutely Yes,
Please note that Improvement examination is just like Board Examination and all the study material is nearly the same.
Also giving compartment exam wouldn't help you a lot because you are probably going to have two mark sheets.
So I will suggest you do well in your improvement test, score good marks so that you don't need to give the compartment test.

So means if i fail in one subject of cbse improvement exam i can still improve my marks by giving compartment exam?
