Dear Aspirant,
Students who wished to appear for UPSC exam must have to have a Degree from recognised university by University grants commission. Hence, if you have a degree not diploma then you are eligible for IAS exam. Moreover, you have to have your degree with you if you are going to appear for the exam. You can give prelims if you are currently in the final year but for mains, you must have your degree with you.
Hope this helps. Thank you.
Hello Ribhu, No, you don't need to go for any other courses. IAS eligibility criteria doesn't state that you need any specific bachelor's degree in order to be eligible for the competition. You need to only have a bachelor's degree irrespective of your field and you can apply for the UPSC IAS exam. You need to have a pass result in your final bachelor's degree and those candidates who are in their final year of graduation can also apply for IAS.
