Can I give KVPY exam in SX Stream in 2019 if I passed class 12 exam with 68% in 2018?
HI ,
NO you can't take up for SX stream but surely you can take up KVPY for SB stream .
Those students who have completed 11th or equivalent stream with minimum 75% aggregate and are enrolled in 12th and willing to join Undergraduate for basic sciences in year 202-21 can take up KVPY through SX stream.
Whereas If you have already passed the 12th or its equivalent and youre in your 1 year of undergraduation in Basic sciences and you have minimum of 60 % in your 12th , then you can apply for KVPY for the following year through SB stream. You should also have 60% aggregate in your first year of your Undergraduate.
KVPY is organized by department of science and technology and it encourages students to take up research in basic sciences. They give fellowship and contigental grants for the selected students in KVPY fellows upto pre PhD levels.
For year 2019, this aptitude test is scheduled in november 2019. Once you are shortlisted you will have interview and based on that the final selections are done.
