Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing well.
In order to be considered for admission, students must have obtained at least 60% in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale in a BSc/BSc (Hons)/BCA/BIT programme of at least three years full-time with Mathematics or Statistics or an equivalent subject as one of the subjects from a recognised university. Students must also have obtained at least 55% in aggregate or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of (SC/ ST) students.
Students holding a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree or equivalent from a recognised university are eligible to appear for the test.
Students who will be taking the qualifying test are also eligible to apply for the NIMCET-2018 competition. Students must, however, provide evidence of their eligibility (in the form of a certificate given by the Head of the institution where the applicant has studied) in order to be considered for writing the test during the academic year 2017-2018.
Students who have completed or are in the process of completing a three-year BSc/BSc(Hons)/BCA/BIT degree from an open university (distance learning) are also eligible to apply, provided that their programme has been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and the Distance Education Council (DEC) of the Government of India.
So,yes, you can appear for NIMCET.
