Can I go abroad for mbbs which country is best for mbbs give me detail information?
Hello Ravi,
If you have secured a seat in a Government medical college in India, then you don’t have to look for MBBS options abroad. However, given the limited number of seats in the Government colleges in India, opting for MBBS abroad will definitely be not a bad idea provided the fees of private medical colleges is far higher than medical colleges abroad.
You should have qualified the NEET exam for applying to MBBS abroad. Your ranking doesn’t matter much which is an advantage. Also, studying abroad will definitely provide you with an exposure to international students and the environment. The colleges too are not bad. They are equipped with state of the art technologies, cheap cost of education, hostel facilities, library and many more amenities that are favorable for the study of the students. However, the college must be MCI approved.
Here are some countries with their MCI approved colleges. Take a look at them and decide which will be good for you.

You need to keep in mind that each country has certain medico-legal frameworks. This means that to be a doctor, you need to finish receive certain educational qualifications and be well-versed with the medical standards of that country if you want to be a doctor in that country. So if you studied your MBBS in India, you can not be a doctor in the US. You will have to do your pre-med and then main medical degree of your choice to be a doctor.
The top 5 colleges to study medicine from, in the world are:
1) Harvard University, USA
2) University of Oxford, UK
3) University of Cambridge, UK
4) Stanford University, USA
5) John Hopkins University, USA
There are many more, of course, but sincfe you asked for the best, here are the top 5 you should aim for.
The most common countries which have the best universities to study medicine in are the UK and US. Each university has several categories which they require from students to fulfill, this varies from university to university. But there are basic exams and marks that you require to attend to, to be eligible to apply.
In the United Kingdom, international students are required to give the IELTS exam, and secure 7.0 in it, with each section no less than 6.5. You will also have to give the UK Clinical Aptitude Test (UKCAT) or Bio Medical Admissions Test (BMAT), depending on what the university wants.
The UKCAT exam has many sections such as verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, abstract reasoning, decision analysis and situational judgement. You will have to prepare for these to do well in it and succeed.
The duration of your study could last from 4 to 6 years. Once you finish the course, your can get a specialised degree which interests you. Specialisation courses last for 7 years or more.
American medical schools are open to admission applications from students who have pre-medical undergraduate qualifications. You should have studied subjects like chemistry, biology, physics or pure science. The required subjects vary from college to college. These are the most basic and common ones.
The MCAT is an exam that is required to get admitted to an American or Canadian medical school. The exam can be taken at any of the MCAT authorised test centres. It is offered in 19 countries, including Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
In the US, medicine courses usually last for about 4 years. This is followed by residency training that last from 3 years to 7 years.
All the best!
