Hi,
To join as an army officer, it is mandatory to appear for an interview and medical examination at least. After class 12, one can sit for the Technical entry scheme after clearing which you will be taken for a ssb interview followed by a medical procedure. You need to clear out all the said steps for getting via Technical entry where you will be provided free training along with doing Bachelor's degree course. Last year candidates who have completed graduation in any stream can opt for University Entry Scheme and TGC. Candidates now carries can option for getting direct into the army as an officer via NCC C certificate. If you hold a NCC C certificate, then, you need not to sit for the CDS or AFCAT examination. But, still you need to appear for S SB or AFSB board for interview and medical which is certainly a tough task. Also, not everyone with NCC C certificate, are given preference in the list, there are only some candidates who get this chance depending upon there performance in the field.
