Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET) is conducted by Andhra University in order to provide admission to candidates in postgraduate courses offered under the streams of Science, Commerce, Humanities, Management, Teaching, and Mass Communication. On the basis of their scores in AUCET exam candidates are offered admission in Andhra University and its affiliated colleges as well as Dr BR Ambedkar University, Srikakulam and its affiliated colleges.AUCET 2018 EligibilityAll candidates who have secured at least 50% (45% for SC/ ST candidates) marks in Group Subjects of the qualifying examination fulfill AUCET 2018 eligibility criteria for Science course admissions. Aucet is ANDHRA UNIVERSITY common entrance test. This exam help you with  admission to persue engineering in andra university without attempting eamcet. The fee will be about 1 lakh per annum. You can complete even your  mtech in you withput gate by awritting this exam , as this exam is of the integrated course (btech+mtech). But personally as a au student,If you get a rank below 15k to 10k you can go through eamcet seats.. rather than going through aucet.

Andhra University Reservations

It may be noted that in every course offered through AUCET exam, 85% of available seats are reserved for local candidates from the districts of Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, Srikakulam, Krishna, West Godavari, Vizianagaram, Guntur, and Prakasam belonging to Andhra University area. A candidate shall be regarded as a local candidate in relation to a local area - AU (Andhra University)/ OU ( Osmania University )/ SVU (Sri Venkateswara University), informs the official website.

The remaining 15% seats are to be filled by the following category candidates:

• Candidates who are Andhra University area locals.

• Candidates who are locals for Osmania University and Sri Venkateswara University areas.

• Candidates who are residents of Andhra Pradesh for a period of at least ten years.

• Candidates either of whose parents have resided in Andhra Pradesh for a period of at least ten years excluding periods of employment outside the State.

• Candidates who are spouses/children of people who are in employment of the State or Central Government, Universities, Local Bodies, Public Sector Corporations, Educational Institutions recognised by the Government and similar State or quasi Government Institutions within Andhra Pradesh.
