can i make a career in psychology if i don't take psychology as a subject in 11th & 12th. i was intrested but my school didn't had this subject!

Yes, you can still pursue psychology in your graduation if you haven't studied this subject in the 12th class.

This programme basically deals with the scientific study of the human mind and behavior is known as psychology according to the American Psychological Association. The basic eligibility to get admission in graduation is that you must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board of education are eligible with a prerequisite that they have scored at least 55% marks from any stream, additional eligibility criteria may also be mentioned by a few colleges during admission, Merit-based admissions or admissions through entrance exams are decided by the specific colleges.

Dear Anurima,

It's absolutely okay , if you don't have Psychology as a subject in your intermediate level of study. The basic eligibility criteria to opt B.Sc Psychology is to qualify 12th exam with min 40% from any recognized institute .

Well, you need to remember that .. the eligibility criteria may differ in some University  due to their own requirements for admission .


You may also refer Distance education through IGNOU to pursue Psychology as a bachelor as well as masters course . The eligibility criteria is so much reduced there .
