CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. It is a entrance exam for admissions in 21 National Law Universities and many other Law institutions.

The Sections of CLAT UG, their syllabus and weightage is given below:

1. English Section ( 40 Marks )

The syllabus for English section is -

• Comprehension passages

• Grammar

• Word meanings

• Incorrect/correct sentences

• Fill in the blanks with appropriate words

2. Mathematics Section ( 20 Marks )

The syllabus of Maths section is-

• Algebra

• Profit and loss

3. General Knowledge and Current Affairs ( 50 Marks )

The syllabus for G.K and C.A is-

• Static general knowledge

• Current affairs- national

• Current affairs- international

4. Logical Reasoning ( 40 Marks )

5. Legal Aptitude ( 50 Marks )

The syllabus for Legal Aptitude is-

• Study of law

• Research aptitude

• Problem solving ability

• Questions based on hypothetical situations
