You haven't mentioned in which year you are going to appear for class 12th examination. Suppose that if you have already applied for SSC CHSL 2020 you must pass in the qualifying examination that is 10+2 on or before January 1, 2021. Similarly if you are appearing for SSC CHSL 2021 then you must pass in the qualifying examination that is 10+2 on or before January 1, 2022. You need to provide the requisite certificates during the document verification if get selected. The date of passing in the qualifying examination on the certificate should be on or before the cut off date. So it depends on the year in which you are passing in the qualifying examination whether or not you are eligible to appear for SSC CHSL. You can prepare for class 12th and SSC CHSL when you are in studying in class 12th.

Firstly, Yeah! You can give the examination in the same year.

Now obviously you may prepare for both the examination. As you know a lot of students prepare for Entrances along with the 12th. So you can compare yourself the same only. Start preparing the portions as per the subject required for the CHSL i.e., Reasoning, Current Affaris and GK, Mathematics, English. In this scenario of any job exams practice is the key. so while preparing do subscribe a mock series. It will barely cost Rs. 300 for a year. Its highly affordable and will be highly effective for your career. So start preparing from now and don't waste a bit of time.

A schedule you may follow:

• Study GK and Current affairs from Magazine and GK books like Lucent, Manohar Pandey etc in the morning. Keep a two hours of time.
• After this you should progress to reasoning in order to refresh your mind. For reasoning you may follow the RS AGGARWAL books (pdf's available).
• Take a break after both of this session and then start with the English. Again keep a 2 hour time for this.
• In the evening you should give a lot of time to the mathematics.

The exam isn't as tough as SSC CGL but you should prepare it solely for a better possibility in your first attempt.
