You can prepare for IIT JEE after class 12th.Rememeber that you can appear in IIT JEE in two consecutive years i.e. appearing and after class 12th.
Currently,if you are studying in class 11th then I suggest you tobe ready for the preparation of IIT JEE.The syllabus of IIT JEE is from class 12th and class11th.
