Yes , you can prepare for NEET UG examination while doing BDS and appear in neet UG examination and if you get selected you can leave BDS course but yes you will have to pay fees which could range from the fee of a year to an equivalent of four year tution fee at the college. It all depends upon the policy adopted by the state government you should read the neet BDS information bulletin for more details.
Some tips for your neet preparation,
Give NTA mock tests , give 2tests per day but do not forget to review the answers and note the mistakes you did in that test.
Practising previous year questions ,
Reading NCERT textbooks of 11th and 12th standard line by line ,
practicing daily Mcqs,
Revise Formulas of physics
Revsie named reactions of chemistry
Doing all this will help you secure a very good rank .
Make a notebook and add the extra points which you found new.
Revise it Daily .
Study for atleast 6-7hours per day with focus and concentration .
