Dear Aspirant,
Generally, Universities providing admission in BCA to students passing 12th do demand a PCM curriculum in school as having Mathematics in school helps the undergraduate in college to cope up with the courses. There are also Universities that do not prescribe as a mandatory curriculum in school. They also accept to students from PCB background.
In Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, colleges do accept students from the PCB background. The only catch in this aspect is that the candidate needs to secure 50% marks in 12th and also passing marks in Computer Science/Information Technology, the subject he had in School curriculum.
Mathematics as a subject is generally preferred as it helps the student to cope with the courses in college. Computer Science also helps the candidate but Information Technology not so much. So I hope you understand what I am talking about and what you need to do.
You can definitely give a shot for IPU BCA admission provided you have secured an overall 50% marks in school and passed CS/IT.
