Can I pursue DNB after completing BPT ?
Hello,
Most individuals decide to pursue a postgraduate degree after earning their MBBS. Medical graduates have a variety of possibilities, the most popular of which are MD, MS, and DNB programs.
For admission into the DNB course, the following are the criteria-
- Admission is open to those who have completed their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree, or an equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
- Admission is available to candidates who have passed the NEET PG/DNB PDCET.
- They should've completed their one-year internship
- Candidates must be under the age of 50 to be considered for admission to the DNB program.
- Individuals with a medical degree who have received an MCI certificate of permanent registration
Hence, since you are a BPT graduate, you are not eligible to give NEET PG to pursue the DNB course. However, you can give NEET-UG, obtain your medical license on completion of the 5-year course which includes 1 year of compulsory internship and then attempt the NEET PG exam.
Hope it helps!
