Yes you can read law after doing engineering.
To start learn any course you have to start from the basic.
So to start learning law you should learn llb as it is referred to as bachelor’s course and would give you an undergraduate degree.
Wheres as llm is the post graduate course and it is referred to as master’s Course.
But there are many universities which don’t require any undergraduate degree so you can directly do llm in that case.

Hello Rik, Good for you . But be aware that there is no additional credit that you can get. You have to go through the same LLB program irrespective of your graduation degree if you want to practice as an Advocate. ;) It may be an added advantage. Learning Law :
