To apply for Step 1, the candidates can follow the below process.

• Create an ECFMG account and apply for USMLE Step 1.

• After submission, the candidate's scheduling permit is issued after verifying the student’s status with the medical school.

• Once the status is confirmed, candidates can book USMLE test dates and test centres at the Prometric website.
