Yes, as far as I know hair bands or any sort of clips and accessories are not allowed. Better don't take any risk and leave ur bands and clips outside the centre. But rubber bands are not allowed. This means you have to use a thin girdle to tie your hair. And the material which your are tying must be free of any type of stone or metal so don't put on any these types of clips.
You can make your hair open as it will take less time for security checking and you will be free from any hassle. The best method is that you can check the rules and regulations section of exams in admit card or on the official site.
