can I show my state ews certificate in gate exam

EWS certificate are issued based on previous year's income of the family.Its not a constant certificate but depends on year to year based on the income.So yes according to the new set of rules the new set of EWS certificate is valid 1 April to 31 march only.With this certificate you can get 10 percent relaxation in admission time.

As per the official FAQ by IIT Bombay for GATE 2021, its clearly mentioned that the EWS certificate must be issued by the competent authority. Now its not mentioned the central or state specifications. So as state is also a competent authority you can submit it for your GATE admission procedure.
