If a person is above 18 years old and does not have a PAN card, they can still create a bank account online without one. 'Small Accounts' is a common term used to describe these accounts. However, it is important to be aware that these accounts could be subject to some limitations. The restrictions include things like not having a debit or credit card, balance and credit restrictions, withdrawal and transfer limits, etc.
However, some banks permit the account user to change the Small Account to a Regular Savings account, which comes with various amenities and fewer restrictions, later on, when they can present their PAN card.
