Although there are many universities and colleges that conduct their own entrance exams.
You can also get direct admission in such universities and colleges.
Good luck.
Hi Ankit,
I think you forgot to specify which college. Can you specify that? We can get back with details then.
College other than government colleges are always open for entries with their own admission pattern.
So just go onto the college's website in which you want to take admission and see for the admission criteria.
All the best
Dont be upset if you could'nt clear the exam. If youre not selected in Jee, then go for private institutions. Once again take an example, Satya nadela, the CEO of Microsoft studied from manipal university, and now hes at the worlds best software developing company. No IITian has the power to go there because satya is faithful and intelligent.
After 4 years, no one will ask from which college you completed your engineering, they will only see how much better You are in the respective courses.
Now, you must be wondering if you are not able to secure a seat at NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, then does it mean that your aspirations to pursue engineering from a reupted institute have come to an end? No, is the answer. This is not the end of the road. You still have immense opportunities to grab. There are various reputed private universities and institutes where you may get admission, in case you have appeared for their entrance exams. Private engineering institutes like BITS Pilani, VIT University, SRM University and Manipal University conduct BITSAT, VITEEE, SRMJEEE and MU OET respectively for offering admissions across their campuses. These are one of the top ranking institutes across all private universities and colleges and are well equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, quality education and faculty, etc. Their industry collaboration and campus placement also counted among the best when it comes to private universities. So, you may look upto these institutions to build a bright career.
But still if your heart beats for admission into government colleges only, and you consider private colleges as plan B, then you have various state level engineering entrance examinations which can give wings to your dreams. Some of the top government colleges in many states offer admissions to undergraduate engineering seats through various state level entrance exams like UPSEE, COMEDK UGET, Karnataka CET, MHT CET, KEAM, etc. On one hand, these exams broaden your chances of getting admission in a good government engineering college, on the other, they also offer you an opportunity of staying in your domicile state while pursuing your studies. So, if you have appeared in any of the below mentioned entrance exams and fulfill the prescribed domicile eligible criteria, then chances are bright for you that you may get a seat in a premier government college.
Hello Ankit.
See most of the good reputed colleges of the country consider your JEE Mains score or rank for their selection criteria, but there are a number of other colleges who conduct their own entrance examinations such as VIT, BITS, Manipal Institute of Technology, SRM etc. and some rely on the varios state level examinations such as WBJEE. So you can look forward to apply to them.
Hope this helps.
Greetings!
Most of the top engineering institutions in India like Indian Institute of Technology, National Institute of Technology, IIIT and other government engineering college take admission on the basis of marks and ranks secured in the Joint Entrance Examination.
There are several private institutes which conduct their own entrance exam like SRM, BITS Pilani, Vellore Institute of Technology etc.
Now other than these, there are so many private engineering college that offers bachelor of engineering or technology in several disciplines. Frankly speaking, in last 5 years the number of engineering institution has increased to larger extent such that their seats remain vacant.
So there is nothing to worry, you can get admission in Bachelor of technology even if you have not appeared in Joint Entrance examination, you can get admission on the basis of percentage of marks scored in PCM and 10+2 board exam.
There are 15% seats in private engineering colleges which comes under management quota to which direct admission is done. So if you have good percentage of marks in 10+2 board exam, you can get direct admission in many private engineering colleges.
There are so many colleges in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, South India which offers direct admission to bachelor of technology. You can visit any of the private college of these states and know about further admission procedure.
Wish you good luck!
