Can I take admission in government colleges with 12000 rank in WBJEE EXAM ?

Hello Pritam,
There is a chance to get admission in government engineering college through wbjee. According to previous years cut off you may get admission in
1.PGEC
2.CGEC
and there is a chance to get admission in JGEC in mop up round. Some colleges have their own spot round if you apply for those seats then there will be a chance.

Hey pritam,
12000 rank in WBJEE is a decent rank and this will also fetch you a good college but for top government colleges your rank should be less than 5000. With your rank you can get an average government college and in that also probability of getting a core branch is very low. In my opinion go for core branches in top private college then as 8 years from now only your branch decide your further career.

Hi Pritam,
Congratulations on your performance in WBJEE.
With your rank it is tough to get a seat in government colleges for the top streams like CSE, Mechanical.
You have not mentioned which stream you want to pursue.
However, I would suggest you to try for IT in Jadavpur University which you might be able to get with your rank.
