HBTI is a very good college second to only IITs.
Coming to the branch Biotechnology well the branch is a descent one but considering the present circumstances of jobs in India the scope is not as good as your caliber( unless you want to pursue a phD). Honestly, I suggest is that you opt for some core branch ( EE ME CE) or CS-IT in some other government college under UPTU( it has its own consequences).

According, to Careers 360 HBTU has AAAA ratings which means Very Good. It provides good placements and faculty. It has good Infrastructure.
If you have interest in Biochemical branch you should opt for it.

Food and beverage companies, agriculture and chemical industries, waste management firms, petroleum oil and gas fields, biomedical firms, engineering design companies, and pharmaceutical companies offer good prospects for biochemical engineers.
