upgradation during NEET counselling refers to getting a college of better preference than the one alloted in previous round.
suppose you are alloted the college which was at the top of your choice filling list then upgradation will not happen as this was the most preferable choice that you filled during choice filling.
suppose you fill colleges in folowing order
AIIMS DELHI
MAMC
VMMC,
JIPMER
and you are alloted jipmer in round 1 and you opt for upgradation then there is a chance of getting a college which you filled above JIPMER. If you get AIIMS delhi then there is no point of upgradation.
