Can i use my haryana ews certificate for delhi university?
Hi, every state has different rules or limitations regarding the income level to include a person in the EWS category. In delhi, to belong to EWS category, a family should have annual income below 8 lacs while in Harayan, the income limit is around 6 lacs.
so unfortuantely you cannot use your haryana EWS certificate and thus have to get a new one made.
Documents required to get a new EWS certificate made:
- Income certificate issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar
- BPL Ration Card(Yellow coloured)
- AAY Ration Card (pink coloured)

Food Security card issued by Food & supply Dept.(GNCT of Delhi)
Authorities that can issue the 'INCOME and ASSET CERTIFICATE' for EWS category:
- District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate/ Collector/ Deputy Commissioner/Additional’ Deputy Commissioner/ 1st Class Stipendary Magistrate/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate/ Taluka Magistrate/Executive Magistrate/ Extra Assistant Commissioner.
- Chief Presidency Magistrate/Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate
- Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar
- Sub-Divisional Officer or the area where the candidate and/or his family normally resides.
