you can't use school leaving certificate as your gap certificate because they two are different and school leaving certificate will not help you out to state the reason of your gap.

No a school leaving certificate and gap year certificate are two different things. Gap year certificate is asked because the authorities want to know the reason for the gap year. You can easily get a gap year certificate from school.
