Yes, if you have opted to write JEE Mains in offline mode.

If you are not going to appear, JEE Mains, this year than I will suggest you to go for online mode.

I’d suggest online mainly for these reasons :

  • The JEE advanced paper will now be online. It will serve as a good practice.
  • The online exam is held a few days after the offline paper. This gives you more preparation time and you can even look at the offline question paper to get an idea of what to expect.
  • Online exam goers are provided unlimited rough sheets (you can ask for more after the 2 A4 sheets they provided) as compared to scribbling the rough work on your question paper. You do have to submit them at the time of leaving the hall though. You get an email with the questions and your marked responses a couple of days after the exam.
  • You get exactly 3 hours since the time is managed by the computer. The screen also shows the time remaining so no looking around for clocks.
  • You can change your marked responses as many times as you want. You can even mark questions for review which will be colored separately in the question list making it easier for you to come back to it.

All the very best and good luck.

Of course you can.

You must have chosen one of the two options when you registered for the exam. Offline or Online exam.

You'll have to sit in the exam accordingly, and this cannot be changed now.
