It depends on the company. They usually allow people from circuit branches to sit for their placements. But some of the top companies like Facebook London, Goldman Sachs, Amazon allow students from all the branches to sit for their placement, provided they have enough skills. If you clear GSoC and all then almost all companies would be keen to recruit you.

Yes, industrial design students can definitely sit in campus placement in CSE campus placement. If company needs industrial design students for increasing their business then definitely it will give first priority to industrial design students. But the package of industrial design students is less than the package of CSE student. hope it helps for you.
