can non Karnataka students are eligible to apply for their government quota seat (of private medical colleges)?
Hello
swarnima.arya
, From some research on internet about your query I found that the private colleges 15% seats are reserved for state quota from this year and remaining 85% are for any student from any state. So you can apply for that.
Hope it will be helpful for you :)
The answer is No. To give an answer in detail, there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. So a non Karnataka Student cannot participate in Government Quota seats of Private Medical Colleges. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly provided the Candidate has registered for the respective State Counselling and has not been able to secure a seat in the Counselling. This is where you have a chance to participate in the State Counselling. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that.
