Can other state students apply for wbjee, I'm from Uttar Pradesh and want to apply wbjee2018

Yes all students can appear for WBJEE if he is resident of West benagl for 10 consecutive year sor parents shoukd be permanent residents of Webst bengal.



Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Graduation is must with PCM subjects as mandatory.



Citizen shoukd be of indian national and Upper limit of Age is 25 as on Dec31, 2018.





Exam centres are located in Tripura and West Bengal states.

Definitely other states student can give WBJEE exam even if you are from Uttar Pradesh.

  • WBJEE-2018:


For the 2018-2019 academic session, the Board will conduct the Common Entrance Examination for admission to Undergraduate Courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in Universities, Govt. Colleges and Self Financed Institutes in the State.



  • Date of Examination: 22nd April, 2018 (Sunday)


  • Online Application: 19/12/2017 to 19/01/18

But other state student Will not eligible for government college of West bengal.

You mean I can get admission in jadavpur university inspite of other state candidate if I'll get a very high rank ?

to get that you have to get 500-600 rank in wbjee

Yes, you're eligible to apply.

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen and should have domicile of West Bengal.
  • The applicant must be 17 years old as on or 31 st December of the year of admission. However, for the Marine Engineering course, the minimum age is 17 years, and the maximum age is 25 years.
  • The candidate must have appeared or passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from state or central board of education.
  • The candidate must have secured minimum 45% aggregate marks in the 12 th examination (40% for reserved category candidates).
  • For admission to the Jadavpur University, the candidates should have secured minimum 60% of marks (55% for reserved category candidates).
  • The candidate must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as the core subjects.

Yes, students from any state of India are very much eligible to give WBJEE and get admission in various engineering colleges.
You can get admission in-
• Jadavpur University
• University of Kalyani
• University Institute of Technology( UIT under Burdwan University)
• MAKAUT(formerly WBUT)
• Any private engineering college (which take admissions through WBJEE)
