KVPY can be given three times.

1. KVPY (SA) for students of class 11.
2. KVPY (SX) for students of class 12.
3. KVPY (SB) if you are in your first year perusing a UG Basic science course if you have secured 60% marks in class 12 for a general category or 50% in SC/ST/PWD category.

For entrance to UG courses at IISc, qualifying exams are KVPY, IITJEE and NEET and they have an intake of 120 seats.

The cut off based on NEET AIR are:

• General Quota= 220
• EWS= 4000
• OBC-NCL= 7500
• SC= 10000
• ST= 40000
• KM= 8000
• PWD= 1500

For students applying through JEE mains or advanced, a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 54%(EWS) and 30% (SC/ST/PWD).

Yes,You can appear thrice for kvpy once in class 11 and other in class 12 and third in graduation.For both classes the exam wil be different according to class syllabus.For class 11 it is SA and for class 12th it is SX.You can even appear while graduation period if you are pursuing B.Sc./B.S./ B.Stat./B.Math./Int.
