can some one suggest top 10 colleges in chennai for my general rank 25732 and community rank 5231 courses like CE, CS, & IT

Obviously IIT comes first. SSN would come in ahead of CEG mainly as a predominantly CBSE culture is maintained in SSN i.e you are expected to learn stuff more than mug it. CEG comes in next followed by MIT. These are the top four colleges in Chennai. SRM Eswari is a worthy mention and so is the entire SRM group. But the problem with them is that the placement is mainly focussed on IT companies. So unless you want to join an IT company, you must avoid it. SVCE has deteriorated over the years. VIT Chennai is good too as it has quite a reputation on an international level but the problem of IT companies has started plaguing it too. Other colleges are decent to poor. You have too many mediocre colleges. Examples include Rajalaxmi, Dhanalaxmi, Madha, Panimalar. These colleges are mediocre at best. You have another class of colleges like Sairam, St.Joseph, Panimar where you get deprived of basic privileges like dressing as you please, having your favourite hairstyle, having a beard, talking with girls. They humiliate you on a gargantuan level even in front of your parents lest you faire poorly in sem-exams. They do this in the name of instilling discipline among the students. But they also ensure that you do well in Anna exams and do their utmost to get you placed . This comes at the cost of daily humiliation and no self esteem.
