Hello Kishan,
IISc Banglore is great college with providing great placement offers for the students.
If any student who has performed average and a bit more in the academics and has the skills to face the interview will definitely get a good placement, but what is good can only be seen by the beholders eye.
For freshers getting 1st few placement is basically for getting experience and increasing there market value. If anyone gets any placement he/she should look forward to get experience rather looking forward for there annual income. But overall any student get placement by there skills not by the colleges name.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hello Kishan..
Thanks for contacting Careers360..
I m glad that you know IISc is a place for research and learning. At IISc a major research work is more valued than placements.
At the end of the day everybody needs money for survival. As an IISc aspirant you may be expecting more salary than other institutes in India. By the end of Masters you would oriented towards research jobs. Trust me you may hate to take up coding roles after your masters from IISc. You may be only interested to take up research roles that involve some coding or you may be interested to code using cutting edge technologies. There are plenty of such jobs in PSUs as well as Multinationals. Yahoo, Oracle, Google, IBM India Research labs, Xerox, Walmart, Amazon have jobs specifically for researchers. You can expect around 15 LPA to 20 LPA easily.
All the best:)
