Can someone explain me research futures available in the line of medical
Hello Ayush,
Well most people after completing there MBBS or BDS or other degree in field of medical, start practising and work as doctors in hospitals. As a researcher, too you can work as a part-time doctor, or become a professor in some college where you can do research work in any particular field and can teach students for some hours in a day. You will have various field of doing research work such as biology, chemistry, pharmacology and toxicology with the goal of developing new medicines or medical procedures or improving the application of those already available. It can be viewed as encompassing preclinical research (for example, in cellular systems and animal models) and clinical research (for example, clinical trials).
As a part of Basic research you can do either:
- Theoritical- Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Bioinformatics, psycology, Analytical Measurement Procedure, Imaging Procedure, Biometric Procedure, Test development assessment procedure.
- Applied-Animal study, cell study, genetic engineering, Biochemistry, Material development,Genetics.
You may do clinical research or epidemiological research or meta analysis.
As in India, there is a limmited scope for medical research. Countries such as US, Canada, Australia, etc, have good equipments and advance medical research facilities.
Hope this helps
