Can someone explain the Manipal Entrance Test system please? What are Phases 1 and 2? Do we have to give them both? Is it two attempts or two rounds? What is slot booking?

Hello,

Here is the description of Manipal Entrance Test :-

  • Phases of MET :

    • MET is conducted in multiple phases (e.g., Phase 1 and Phase 2).
    • Each phase is a separate attempt , giving students a chance to improve their scores.
  • Mandatory or Optional :

    • It is not mandatory to attempt both phases.
    • Students can choose to appear in only one phase or both.
  • Two Attempts or Rounds :

    • The phases act as two attempts . Scores from the better attempt are considered for admissions.
  • Slot Booking :

    • Students must book their exam slots (date, time, and center) within a prescribed window.
    • Slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis .
  • Final Merit :

    • Post-exam, the university prepares a merit list based on scores.
  • Key Advice :

    • Attempting both phases improves the chance of securing a better rank.

Hope it helps !
