Hello,

See, it doesn't matter which branch you choose, the most important thing is which college you choose.
Like, let me tell you that if you can get into IITs,you can get placement in Investment banks even of you are from mechanical or chemical engineering.
But if we look placement wise then probably CSE  candidates have more chances. But if you are really interested in any branch of engineering then you should go for it because in the end your interest is the only thing that matters when you get into a job.
For example if you are interested in mechanical engineering and just because someone said you will get good placement, you took CSE and then you got placed in an IT firm and now you have to sit 8 hours in front of a computer and if you don't like it then trust me no matter what salary you get, you will.never enjoy your work and life.
So choose wisely.

Good Luck

Hey!

Every branch of engineering has its own scope in future and it depends on your interest which branch you want to take.

CSE branch has a lot of scope in future as it is said that data is the future oil. Also, if you are a average student and you have a good interest in softwares or applications, hacking or games then you must opt this. ECE give you opportunity to work in both software field as well as core electronic industry. However, in cse you might have your own business but in ECE you will always be working in someone's field. Mechanical engineering has a lot of demand and scope but it really consists of hard work. IT is mostly related to the cse, if you have interest in softwares than you can choose any one of them.

To add on, if you wish to choose civil services (IAS/IPS/airforce/IRS/IFS etc) then cse or ece will give you opportunity for the same. But if you are an average student then ece would be a bit difficult for you.

Hope it helped to clear your delimma

Thank you
