Can someone tell me about steps to be followed and eligibility criteria to apply for DADD scholarship in chemical engineering ?
Hello,
German and foreign students have the opportunity to complete their master's, doctoral, and post-doctoral studies at the lowest possible cost thanks to the more than 100,000 DAAD Scholarships provided each year.
-Out of the 188 scholarship opportunities available in 2021, 25 DAAD scholarships are open to students from India.
-Applicants who meet the requirements must have earned their prior degree with at least an 85 percent overall average.
-Each applicant must have at least two years of work experience, whether it be via a graduate assistantship, employment, or field research.
-All DAAD scholarship recipients have their travel costs and health insurance premiums paid for.
-A letter of invitation from the applicants' supervisors at qualifying German universities is required.
Eligibility Criteria :-
Language Skills: IELTS score of at least 6.5 indicates excellent English language proficiency.
Although not required, learning German is strongly advised.
Academic Grades: Depending on the applicable degree, an overall GPA of at least 8.5 CGPA, or 85 percent, is required.
To apply for an exchange or short-term research programme, you must first get a NOC (No Objection Certificate) from your home university.
2 years or more of job experience is required, as well as research, teaching, and graduate assistantships.
Submit a brief study proposal or SOP of 500–1000 words. Sometimes a CV is enough.
Application Process:-
- Fill out the online application and upload the required files.
- A copy of the application form sample should be mailed to the DAAD headquarters.
Selection Process :-
Each DAAD scholarship has its own selection panels, who thoroughly review each application. Depending on the scholarship scheme, this committee may be constituted locally (in India for Indian students) or in Germany. The following criteria serve as the main basis for decisions:
- the project's quality
- Academic Successes
- duration of the study/fieldwork
- Research project/work history
Although there are no interviews, a personal introduction can be necessary depending on the scholarship programme and the applicant's region.
Thank You
