can students with spectacle join afmc

According to the official brochure for admission into AFMC ( https://afmc.nic.in/ADVT/InformationBulletinAFMCMBBS2021.pdf ) under MBBS, a candidate must meet with eligibility criteria which also includes the vision eligibility, stated as follows:

(u) Visual Standards:

• Visual standards will be asfollows:-
  • (aa) Uncorrected VA 6/60 & 6/60 BCVA 6/6 & 6/6
  • (ab) Myopia ≤ -3.50 DSph,
  • (ac) Hypermetropia ≤ +3.50 DSph,
  • (ad) Astigmatism ≤ +/-2.0 Dcyl
  • (ae) Colour perception II

• LASIK or Equivalent
  • (aa) Lasik and equivalent procedures will be permitted. However earlier procedures like Radial Keratotomy or equivalent will be permanently unfit.
  • (ab) Any candidate who has undergone any Keratorefractive procedure will have a certificate from the centre where he has undergone the procedure specifying the date and type of surgery.
  • (ac) In order to be made Fit, the following criteria will have to be met.
    • (aaa) Age > 20 yrs at the time of surgery
    • (aab) Minimum 12 months post LASIK
    • (aac) Central corneal thickness ≥ 450 µ
    • (aad) Axial length by LOL Master ≤ 26 mm
    • (aae) Residual refraction of ≤+/- 1.0 D incl cylinder (aaf) Normal healthy retina
