can the EWS category seat change to General category if there is no candidate left either in waiting list or merit list in EWS category?

Hi, I am speaking with context to major entrance examinations like Joint Entrance Examination, since you have not mentioned a specific exam: it is very difficult tfor the waiting list or the merit list to be empty in such examinations, and it rarely happens that there are no candidates left for the same at all. It is a separate category with its own reservation and for such exams they always get filled. Hope this helps!

Hey!

The remaining General candidates will be given a chance by reducing the closing cut off. You cannot change your Category because there are no seats vacant either in waiting list or merit list. If you have applied for the EWS Category and submitted EWS certificate, you will be an EWS candidate till the end.
