Hello, Vandana. I think you would have thought this before going for the subject but as you have completed  the course so let's suggest you some best career option after doing M.Sc. in Botany.

First of all, Botany is a subject which gives you full information about the plants, algae, fungus etc.

They study growth reproduction metabolism development disease chemical reactions and all other things in plants.

So this is clear that you are going to get job in the fields related to do plants and agriculture.

1. The very basic job in every career which you can opt is teaching as professor or lecturer but you will have to get a depth knowledge in the subjects.

2. You also have a choice to join botanical survey of India but only through passing UPSC. This is a very nice job but hard to crack.

3. You can also find out about the jobs in different agricultural & research industries and try to find a job there. There is a huge scope of getting job on a high post, but have patience and look for more than one job and choose according to your wish.

The private sectors in which you can get job are:

* Food companies

* Oil industry

* Seed industry

* Drug company

* Nurseries

* Biotechnology firms

* Chemical industry

And the job opportunities in government sectors are

* National park service.

* Animal and plant health inspection service

* Nature conservancy

* Environmental protection agency

* Department of conservation and land management.

4. There are so many foreign agencies to provide jobs to do MSc graduates. They provide us good remuneration and facilities. You should research about them and try to join them.

5. If you are not interested in doing jobs related this that you also option to go for further studies. So that you can get jobs in other career options.

So basically the thing is that what you want to do depends upon you . if you are interested in doing jobs in firms who will pay you a fixed salary which will be less in starting for freshers but will be increased as per your experience and work or do you want to share your knowledge with more other children's as a teacher or a professor.

All the jobs are efficient and you have full opportunity to grow , only you have to work with your full efficiency. All the best.
