Pancreas is a vital digestive organ and can be considered as an exocrine gland because it secretes digestive juices into the duodenum through the pancreatic duct. Pancreas releases Insulin and gluacagon which regulate the amount of sugar in the body. So if you want to invent medicine for pancreatic disorder, you should have done extensive research on Pancreas and the hormones it secretes. A career in Endocrinology might help that. But after studying your MBBS, MD in Endocrinology, you can move to Academic and Research field. You may have to do Ph.D for that because research work is usually done in Ph.D. And inventing is different from discovering. Inventing is bringing forth something entirely new and discovering is just bringing forth what has already been there but was lost for a while. Once you invent something, it takes years of experiments and approvals from FDA for example for drugs. And once it is done, you need to apply for patent and keep the dice roling. In order to invent a medicine, you need to become a scientist or a researcher. There are two ways to get into this field. Either choose pharmacy course or medical çourse. If you choose pharmacy course, you will have to complete Bachelor's degree first, then go for Master's degree and then go for PhD. If you want to go for medical field such as MBBS, then after completing MBBS, you need to go for MD or MS and then go for PhD ( medical research ).

This way, you will be able to follow your specifications and invent what you want to.
