can u suggest me some good medical colleges who are sending students to u.s for their further studies? OR colleges which has good pass out ratio of students cracking USMLE?

A lot of AIIMS alumni work in the US as doctors and they are considered to have an edge in cracking the USMLE. Some AIIMS institutions are affilated with top medical universities abroad, for eg. AIIMS D is affiliated with John Hopkins University. So, if you are an AIIMS alumnus it becomes easier for you to get good electives in top medical universities in the USA.

About 50.5% of medical graduates from Indian medical colleges crack USMLE every year and the percentage keeps increasing. Actually, the preparation matters and obviously your CV. It would be nice if you start preparing for USMLE from the 3rd year itself, without worrying about in which college you are studying.

The reason why a lot of MBBS graduates of AIIMS crack USMLE is that they tend to have a good CV because a lot of students take up research projects in their UG at AIIMS. And AIIMS students always have more electives, which adds on to their CV. And not all medical colleges in India provide that facility.

Once an IMG (International Medical Graduate) clears all the three steps of USMLE, its not necessary to get residency as there are only 50% chances for him/her.

So, my opinion would go for premier institutions like AIIMS, VMMC, MAMC and GMCs which provide you the opportunity to take up research projects during your graduation which will make your CV better. But to be honest, you can crack USMLE even if you study from a private college, what matters is your preparation.
