.WHAT IS KVPY?
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY) is a scholarship program funded by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India, aimed at encouraging students to take up research careers in the areas of basic sciences. It offers scholarship and contingency grants up to the pre-Ph.D. level to selected students. The students who qualify KVPY Exam are eligible for the fellowship as well as admissions into institutes like IISC or IISER based on additional criteria. This exams has 3 Streams: SA (Class 11), SX (Class 12), and SB (First year BSc). For receiving a fellowship, both aptitude test (75%) and interview marks (25%) are considered.

.Application form releases from: - 3rd week of july 2019
.Last date to get application form: - 4th week of August 2019
.Availability of admit card: - 3rd week of october 2019
.Examination date: - 1st week of November 2019
.Releasing of answer key: - 4th week of November 2019
.Declaration of written test result: - 3rd week of December 2019
.Interview: - 3rd week of January to 20th February 2020
.KVPY Registration 2019
Candidates can check the details given below to fill the KVPY 2019 application form.
.First of all candidates have to do the registration for the KVPY 2019.
.The application process will begin from the third week of July 2019.
.Candidates can fill and submit the application form till the fourth week of August 2019.
.Candidates have to fill the personal and academic details, choosing exam center and upload the scanned images and the required documents.
.Application form will be completed only after the payment of requisite application fee.
.Candidates should take a printcopy of the application for further references.
.ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: -
.Stream SA: Students enrolled in XI Standard (Science Subjects) during the academic year 2018-19 and having secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board examination.
.Stream SX: Students enrolled in XII Standard/ (+2) (Science subjects) during the academic year 2018–19 and aspiring to join undergraduate program in Basic Sciences namely Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Biology leading to B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. for the session 2019–20 provided they have secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the X Standard Board Examination and a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the XII standard Board Examination.
.Stream SB: Students enrolled in the 1st year of undergraduate program in Basic Sciences namely Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Biology leading to B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. during the academic year 2018–19 and having secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the XII Standard Board Examination. In the 1st year final examination of B.Sc./B.S./B.Math./B.Stat./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. they must secure 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks before taking up the fellowship, if awarded.
