Yes. Candidates who have completed their 10+2 from NIOS be it distance education or regular mode are also eligible for appearing in NEET. The standard age criteria and academic qualification criteria will remain the same. For starters you should be 17 years atleast by December 31st of the year of admission and you should score an aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry abd Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for SC,ST,OBC.

Hey,

Well, yes. You are eligible to apply for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test(NEET). The minimum eligibility criteria requires you to study Physics,Chemistry and Biology in your 12th from any recognized board. By the order of the Delhi High Court,on 28th February.2018,CBSE released notification allowing National Institute of Open Schooling(NIOS) to fill the application form of NEET.

Follow the link given below for detailed information about the eligibility criteria of NEET:

Yes. The National Institute of Open Schooling is a Government Organization which have the equal authority just like CBSE or ICSE. Therefor the marks acquired in NIOS exam are definitely valid for the NEET Exam. Through NIOS, many students who were not able to get the percentage greater than the required percentage can also score good in this exam for clearing the eligibility criteria.

Since, if they go for the improvement exam, they would have to wait for a whole year for the exam. But through NIOS, you can appear in the 12th exams any time, irrespective of whether you are a distant student or not

let me know in the comment box if you are having any further doubts

hope you find it helpful

thanks

Good Luck!
