CA training involves three main stages-
- CPT (Common Proficiency Test)
- IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence Course)
- CA Final Examination
Mathematics subject and its concepts will come handy while facing CPT and CA Final. Topics like integration, derivatives, Interest (Simple & Compound) etc are involved in CPT stage. Similarly, in the CA Final stage, Financial Management too has lot to do with mathematics subject.Technically, students from any stream (after 10+2) are eligible to pursue CA training.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
- According to the rules set by ICAI, students who have passed 10+2 board examination (any stream) or any Graduation course (from a recognized University) are eligible to undergo CA training. There is no mention of mathematics as a compulsory subject.
- This means that students who haven’t had mathematics subject are also eligible to pursue CA training.
- Sure, mathematics doesn’t play a crucial role in eligibility criteria. But the subject sure is involved in the Proficiency Test and Final Level. To get a better idea about the involvement of mathematics subject, let us check out various stages involved in CA training.
