Can we change our course and college after taking admission in DU?

Dear Aspiriant,
Yes, you can change your college and course but only until the Cutoffs are out and in business. Once the admission process is over nothing can be done.
Also, you must know that this type of shuffling and jumping from one college to another (during the admission process) is a very common practice and people keep doing it until they land in their desired course or college.
But, once the seats are filled and the admission process is closed then nothing can be done and you would have to stick with your current settings.
The only getaway would be through a little procedure called migration. But wait, it's not that little as it seems. I would recommend you to go through the rules for migration on DU's official site for all other necessary details.
But, in a brief I can tell you that it's a very tedious process. You can migrate inter-college in 1st year only. You must have a very high SGPA in order to migrate because the principal of your desired College must accept you on the basis of your performance and your existing college must leave you. So, it's actually a very difficult process and nobody does it once they are in.
So, make sure you get your desired college during the admission process itself without even thinking of this option.
The only reason I'm writing this is because I too wanted to migrate but did not have anyone to tell me these basics so I had to do all the research part myself.
Hope this information helps you someway.
All the best!
