can we do mba in iim without knowing much more english ?
Hello Aspirant,
See knowledge of any particular language only enhances your personality skills, it is not the eligibility criteria for any of the educational institution in India at least, so if your not much good in English language then also you can do MBA from any of the IIMs but note that during your interview/GD round your language skills will also be judged up on which some points will be given to you so what I will personally recommend to you is just have some basic knowledge of English language and some basic command on English language.
However there are different IIMs and different IIMs have different admission criteria so let us discuss the admission criteria of some top IIMs like IIM A,B,C and so on :-
IIM Ahmedabad
Admission process for IIM A is a two step process. First step is for preliminary screening on the basis of Sectional cut-offs and overall cut-offs along with different rating points for IIM A which are described in the tables below and you need to clear sectional cut-off as well as Overall cut-off :-
