can we do msc chemistry after completing B Pharm?
Hello student,
The eligibility criteria for pursuing MSc Chemistry is that the candidate must have completed graduation with minimum 45% required marks from a recognised university.
You are eligible too for pursuing master's in chemistry as many of the universities in India accept BPharm for MSc Chemistry, for examples : TIFR, IITs, IICT, ICT, IICB, etc.
Yes, the scope for both the fields are good, choice of job opportunities should be based on your preference.
Thanks.
Yes, you are eligible. Most of the universities in India accept BPharm for MSc Chemistry/Life Sciences ( examples, TIFR, IITs, IICT, ICT, IICB, etc.). If you do not wish to study in these institutes as they admit the candidate based on graduation percentage. For a BSc it is easy to secure 80-95% during graduation and the same is not true for a BPharm, so definitely, these institutes gonna reject you.
Another way is, you have to apply to other universities of non repute, where, you have to submit your complete syllabus copy of BPharm to Board of Studies ( for determining the equivalency of BSc Chemistry with BPharm chemistry portion). If the concerned university approves your qualification for taking admission into MSc in Chemistry or related fields, then you can take admission in those university/ies, provided you must fulfil other eligibility condition.
Hello aspirant. Definitely you can. It is not compulsory that masters and bachelors should be done in the same field. But the thing is, since you are doing a different one as in MSC chemistry is drift from B farm so it might be a little difficult for you to cope up. But if you are really interested and pursue that, go on.
All the best
