yes you can but there is a condition

according to UGC guidelines, a person can do 2 degree courses at a time but ne curse should be regular while the other course should be at online  distance  Learning mode (ODL)  that means the  mode of two degrees should be different .

The university grants commissoon has approved a proposal of pursuing two degrees at the same time.However, one of the two degrees will have to be pursued through regular mode and the other has to be through online distance learning (ODL). The proposal was approved in the recent commission meeting for simultaneous dual degrees for students in India, allowing students to complete courses in the same or different streams at the same time. One of the two degrees, however, has to be through regular mode and the other has to be through online distance learning.

Yes, one can puruse two degrees at the same time, and it has been approved by UGC, but the only condition is that the person must pursue one degree from the regular mode, but the another degree from correspondence mode, person can pursue two degrees from the same stream or even from different stream as per their choice.

One of the degrees has to be in the regular mode and the other either in open and distance learning or online. A student can pursue two degrees in different streams as well as from different institutions. The student may also opt for the same institution. This gives the students more career options.
